About Jeff

Background

I have worked as a teacher/ counsellor in the public school system for nearly 30 years with children of all ages from K-12.  I worked toward my teaching credentials at Trinity Western University and SFU before embarking on a Masters program at UNBC.  In 2018, I began counselling outside of the school system, working primarily with couples and adults.  At some point most everyone needs to be heard by an objective listener – I look forward to this opportunity.

I enjoy seeing motivated clients take strides toward fulfilling their potential. My lifelong
involvement in exercise and sport has led me to develop a keen interest in what motivates
individuals and groups to reach their potential – I believe that everyone has the capacity to improve and to grow.  No issue is too big or small -- If it matters to you, then I embrace the challenge of working toward solutions with you.

I sincerely and humbly hope that the lives of my clients will be enriched after having spent time with me.  To that end, it’s very important to me that our time together is well-spent – Your time is too valuable to be wasted.

My wife and I have been married for over 30 years -- we have three adult children that we are very proud of.  After living for many years in northern BC, we moved to Kamloops three years ago and we’re happy to call it home.

Accessible, Responsive, Engaged

My core values are: authenticity, growth, grace, health, and humour.  These are reflected in the way that I interact with my clients.  I try to draw on my life experiences and my training to provide clients with a confidential space to be heard, and to get what they need.  I am invested in helping people live their best possible lives.
